NomadicML provides powerful search and analysis tools to help you find specific events, compare similar situations across videos, and identify patterns in driving behavior.

Search Capabilities

The search functionality allows you to find specific content across your entire video library.

The simplest way to search is using keywords:

  1. Click on the Search tab in the navigation
  2. Enter search terms related to the events you’re looking for
  3. Results will show matching events from across your videos

Examples of effective search terms:

  • “stop sign”
  • “lane change”
  • “hard braking”
  • “near collision”

For more precise results, use the advanced search options:

Filter Options

  • Event Type: Filter by specific categories (Traffic Violation, Safety Alert, etc.)
  • Severity: Filter by low, medium, or high severity
  • Date Range: Search within a specific time period
  • Driver: Filter by the driver (if this metadata was added)
  • Vehicle: Filter by the vehicle used (if this metadata was added)
  • Location: Filter by geographic area (if location data is available)

Search Modes

  • Text Search: Find events by description or analysis content
  • Visual Search: Find visually similar scenes
  • Event Comparison: Compare specific event types across videos
  • Context Matching: Find similar driving scenarios

Comparative Analysis

NomadicML excels at comparing similar events across different videos to identify patterns and trends.

Event Comparison

To compare similar events:

  1. Select an event of interest
  2. Click the Find Similar button
  3. The system will identify and display similar events from other videos
  4. Compare the events side-by-side to see differences in handling

Side-by-Side View

The side-by-side comparison tool allows you to:

  • Play synchronized videos of similar events
  • Compare AI analysis of each event
  • See differences in driving technique
  • Identify common factors in recurring issues

Pattern Recognition

The pattern recognition feature helps identify recurring issues:

  1. Navigate to the Analytics tab
  2. Select Pattern Analysis
  3. Choose the type of events to analyze
  4. The system will identify common factors and patterns

Results might show that certain issues frequently occur:

  • At specific locations
  • Under particular weather conditions
  • At certain times of day
  • With specific maneuvers

Analysis Tools

NomadicML offers several specialized analysis tools:

Event Timeline

The Event Timeline provides a chronological view of all events:

  1. Select the Timeline view
  2. Events from all videos are displayed on a single timeline
  3. Filter by date range, event type, or severity
  4. Identify clusters of events or patterns over time

Heat Maps

Heat maps help visualize where events occur most frequently:

  1. Select the Heat Map view
  2. Choose the type of events to display
  3. View the distribution on the map
  4. Zoom in on hotspots for detailed analysis

This is particularly useful for identifying problematic intersections or road segments.

Statistical Analysis

The Statistics panel provides numerical insights:

  • Event frequency by type and severity
  • Comparison to average or benchmark data
  • Trend analysis showing improvement or decline

Export and Reporting

Create comprehensive reports based on your search and analysis:

  1. Configure your search to include the relevant events
  2. Click the Generate Report button
  3. Choose from available report templates
